BB97 Brim Block

A traditional brim block for men’s trilby hats. Also known as a flange, this kind of brim is used for shaping brims that have already been cut to an even width and are often (although not essentially) used with a sandbagging machine. Rather than a string groove for the brim edge, there is a simple rope line around the base for tieing on a protective sheet only. Once blocked, the front is flipped down for a very classic look. BB97 is available in 5 different brim widths 1 7/8″ – 2″, 2 1/8″ – 2 1/4″, 2 3/8″ – 2 1/2″, 2 5/8″ – 2 3/4″ & 2 7/8″ – 3″. This brim also features a cutaway on the inside to allow a hat complete with band ribbon to be blocked or re-blocked.
