A brim smoothing tool with a round nose and a sharp inside corner. Primarily used for pressing out the shellac between layers of calico in silk top hat making, but can also be used to help smooth out felt brims too. Made from good old boxwood like all the originals – there really is no other wood that is so durable and hard-wearing.
