Crown blocks
This is our extensive range of crown blocks including five-part blocks. Most crown blocks are available in oval or circular forms and the ovals can be slim or broad. See choosing your blocks for a full explanation. All sizes are available, from child to large adult. Finger grip and stand holes are provided and are 25mm in diameter. All our blocks are hand finished and sealed and will have a long life if used and stored with the care that high quality timber products deserve. Helpful hints are included with all blocks.

A trilby crown that is made to the exact height for the finished hat. This is to enable it to be used in conjunction with the snap brim - BB71 pictured above. The two parts screw together in the same way as our multiblocks meaning that any of our tips with an extension between can also be used on the brim.
The crown is of course useable in its own right too and includes stand and finger holes as normal.

CB112A is simply a lower version of our very popular CB112 measuring only 100mm high. When blocking crown and brim separately the height of the crown block is not important because you can trim it after blocking to any height you like. However, if the crown is to be 'blocked in one' with a brim such as a BB71 then it must be the exact height that you need for the finished hat. Could be great as a percher style - another great variation to add to your range!

A new design trilby/fedora crown featuring a central dome this time. Again, it is made to the exact height for the finished hat enabling it to be used in conjunction with a screw on brim so that you can block in one. This is a low version of our classic trilby block CB15 above. Measuring 120mm high like our CB112, it is suitable for 'blocking in one' with a downturned brim like BB71 and includes screw fixings in the base for this purpose. It can of course still be used for 'blocking in one' with an upturned brim where the blocked crown is pushed through the hole in the brim.

Pill box crowns
Pill box hats are ones that sit on the head without a brim and, as such, often need to be finished by turning the fabric back on itself at the bottom of the hat. In order to make this easier, all pill box crown blocks have the option of being hollowed underneath, creating a lip around which the fabric can be pinned. After blocking, the lining band can be stitched in, leaving a very tidy bottom edge to the hat.
All our Pill box crowns come with hollowing underneath as standard.
